9 Month Check-Up

This past Thursday Anne Carter turned 9 months old! Thinking about it in a weird way, she has been out about as long as she was in..HAHA! We went to see Dr. Taylor on Thursday too. I forgot to take a picture this time. She only had to get 1 shot, which was her last Hepatitis shot. She also had to get her heel pricked to check her iron and since we live in a house that was built before 1960 they will check her blood for lead as well. Looking at her heel now, it really looks like more of a slice than a prick!

The nurses kept commenting on her blood saying it was great blood-just thick enough not to run everywhere and just thin enough to drip into the vial easily. They also said the skin on her foot was good for taking blood. I had never really considered foot skin to be a contributing factor to the ease of taking blood from a baby but now I can brag that my little AC has good foot skin!

Anne Carter checked out completely heathy and we should not have to go back until she is a year old. Dr. Taylor did comment that she is on the small side, but was not concerned about it. Her stats were:

Length: 27 1/2 inches(50th percentile)
Weight: 16lbs 10oz(12th percentile)
Head: 17 inches(25th percentile)
